Shahid Salimi Neka power plant is one of the most important national assets and one of the largest power plants in the country. This power plant consists of two independent heating and combined cycle parts, which is located on the coast of the Caspian Sea and 25 km north of Neka city. The rated power of this power plant is 2214 MW, which consists of four heating units each with a rated power of 440 MW, a combined cycle block including two gas units each with a rated power of 6.137 MW and a heating unit with a rated power of 160 MW, as well as two expansion turbine units. Each one has a rated power of 4.9 MW.
